General information
Description of the section
This section includes indicators of contribution and caloric contribution, as well as determining variables for the construction of production for domestic use.
Base indicators
Amount of fat supply (g/person/day).
Dietary energy supply (kcal/person/day).
Amount of protein supply (g/person/day).
Production: Amount (kg or ton) of beans production.
Exports: Quantity (Volume) of beans exported.
Imports: Quantity (Volume) of beans imported.
Domestic supply: Production + Imports - Exports + Stock changes.
National per capita consumption (kg/person/year).
Food quantity: Quantity of beans available for consumption.
Seeds: Quantity (volume) of the product for sowing or planting in the reference year.
Feed: Quantity of product available for livestock and poultry feed (Domestic and imported production).
Processing: Quantity (Volume) of feed that has undergone alterations (e.g. grinding, mixing, dehydration, etc.).
Losses: Quantity of product lost through waste during the year, lost between the time it is transported until it reaches its destination. Excludes pre-harvest losses and losses after arrival at destination.
Other Uses: Refers to the quantity of products used for purposes other than food.
Waste: It is the disparity between supply and utilization of the product in general. It occurs mainly because of inconsistencies in national data provided by countries.
Stock changes: Refers to changes in stocks during the reference period at all stages between production and retail.

Estimated indicators
Self-sufficiency coefficient: the percentage of coverage of a population's food needs by local agrifood production.
Production for domestic use at all levels: Production - Exports + Stock change.
Per capita consumption at regional and world level: Quantity of food / Population.
Caloric contribution per hectare: Calories per Kilogram * 1000 * Yield (Average).
Ranking: Crops are defined in descending order by caloric contribution, protein contribution and calories per hectare.
Caloric contribution (% of daily caloric intake): Calculated from a daily caloric intake of 2232.35 calories.
Caloric contribution (% of caloric intake from plant foods): Calculated from a total daily caloric intake from plant foods of 1745.21 calories.
Caloric contribution (% of daily protein intake): Calculated from a total daily protein intake of 62.86 grams of protein.
Caloric contribution (% of daily protein intake from plant foods): Calculated from a total daily caloric intake from plant foods of 35.3 grams of protein.
